Circular Economy Promotion Plan

Economic development and environmental sustainability has long been the dilemma in Taiwan. In her inaugural address, President Tsai announced “Circular Economy” as the policy target to solve the dilemma, she said, “We must not endlessly expend natural resources and the health of our citizens as we have done in the past. Therefore, we will strictly monitor and control all sources of pollution. We will also bring Taiwan into an age of circular economy, turning waste into renewable resources.” To achieve this administrative goal, “Circular Economy” has been explicitly incorporate into the government’s recent effort to promote the “5+2” industrial transformation project. To do this, the Ministry of Economic Affairs plans to implement “Circular Economy Promotion Plan” by introducing the new concept and strategic measures of “Circular Economy” to create a new momentum for industrial development.
